Designing The Aura Sarong

Every sarong starts as a scribble in my notebook. But between that first sketch and the finished piece, there’s a lot of back and forth between drawing, sampling, wearing and refining.

🌀My design process exlained in reverse 🔄🌀
Finished product → wearing it IRL → receiving first samples → drawing → refining → inspiration → idea...

It’s months of trial, error, rest, coming back to the idea, refining again. Eventually, something clicks and I get to hold the final piece in my hands.

The Aura Sarong features the Tibetan Om symbol. I wanted to include it with care and respect, as part of my ongoing connection to my Nepalese heritage and upbringing, craft and culture.

This piece, like all of them, was made to be worn, lived in, and loved.
